The original equipment valves typically wear out causing poor performance and drivability problems. For airflow metered cars, the function of the valve is to redirect excess boost pressure into the intake side of the engine. These replacement valves are designed to handle elevated boost pressure levels for modified or unmodified vehicles. For vehicles not equipped with airflow meters, the valves can simply be used to ?blow off? excess boost pressure. Single turbo cars require one valve, while twin turbo vehicles require two. Priced each.
